Spirit Name: Whisperlight
Commonly Known As: Alscyren Spirit Orbs, Whisper Orbs.
"Lifespan:" Being dead, they wander until feeling fulfilled or eradicated through magical sources.
Average Size: '6 to 2' Sphere.
Average Weight The spirit itself weighs nothing, but when contacting something, puts a slight amount of pressure on what it touches.
Appearance: Softly lit, single colored orbs of light that can hover and fly, creating a soft "swooshing" sound when they move, and a soft, almost unnoticeable hum while holding still, unless agitated, making their movement sounds much more pronounced. They can whisper, but when they do try to speak, it comes in forms of an entire sentence, with all words said at once, or only a single word. Their voices are soft, almost female sounding voices, but can be shrill and violent toned when wished. It sounds inhuman and "unearthly," and can either poses a soothing, warm hearted sound, or a deafening, raging sound.
Information: Whisperlights are spirits of people that feel they haven't fulfilled their life and have been given new form by the powers of Lake Cyr, allowing them to continue on until feeling their life has been fulfilled. However, the lake doesn't possess enough power to give them new body, it allows them to travel on in another form, very similar to those of the shape shifters that take refuge in the Southern Forests. As a spirit, they have high comprehension and have the ability to recreate an entire language from a single three syllable word. They have many tricks and can disappear for a small amount of time, as well as mislead people, or influence their thoughts with their own on an emotional scale. They have no memory of their previous life, but only know that they lack the satisfaction they need in order to move on. The spirits also tend to communicate between one another by brightening and dimming themselves. They're also often drawn to natural beauty. The orbs have a full 360 view around them in every direction, and can move very fast, making them highly aware of the area and very hard to catch, especially considering you need an enchantment in order to contain one in an inanimate object. The Whisperlights origins lie within The Swamp of which they gave its name, but do venture out across the land more often than not, trying to fulfill their need to feel succeeded and whole before moving on to the afterlife.
Abilities: They have the ability to influence individuals emotionally to a slight degree. The also can disappear for small periods of time, becoming invisible by concealing their light, using this as a defense mechanism or stealth observation technique. They give off a heavy spiritual aura, influencing people with a slight physical pressure on their bodies which increases significantly if the spirit is angered. Being a spirit, they are not bound by gravity and can fly fairly easily, as well as move through walls and solid surfaces. If they remain inside of a solid object, it tends to scorch slightly, leaving a thin layer of soot. However, they can not pass through living beings because the body is already occupied by another spirit. However, with non-animate living things, such as plants can be moved through, considering their spirits have no actual realization of another being existing within it. The spirits also have an ability to cause items of practically any relatively small size, such as swords, umbrellas, pieces of clothing, to levitate.
Extra: Whisperlights can't physically harm another, but can't be harmed them selves unless through magical means, like an enchanted item or spiritual magics, Necromancy included, in which is often used to cruelly manipulate Whisperlights and force them into slavery. However, a Whisperlight can also absorb idle and unused magical energy to restore itself, healing any "wounds" or weakness that could have been lift by other magical sources.
Species Usage: They're free to use as wished, although must be used correctly. Remember, these spirits can't talk like people, so you must act accordingly in order to play one. Other than that, go ahead and create away.
